Glenn Highway & Muldoon Road Interchange Project Update

The southbound Glenn Highway On-ramp (to downtown) from north Muldoon Road will be CLOSED from 9:00am Friday, August 4, until approximately 5:00am Monday, August 7.  Northbound and southbound traffic on Muldoon Road traveling towards downtown should plan to follow DETOUR routes via Debarr Road and Boniface Parkway. Be alert to LANE CLOSURES on Muldoon Road, with brief DELAYS and flagging operations in effect throughout the project area.

After the CLOSURE ends, a NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN will be in effect at the diverging diamond interchange. To view an instructional driving video for this interchange, please visit www.glenmuldoon.com.

NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN is in effect for northbound Glenn Highway traffic exiting towards Muldoon Road. Please utilize the newly built exit ramp immediately after crossing under the overpass, and then turn left or right at the top of the ramp to access northbound or southbound Muldoon Road. During this time, the old exit ramp will be CLOSED to all traffic. Please follow all construction signs and traffic control devices.

Be alert to intermittent LANE RESTRICTIONS, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm. Expect increasing construction activity within the vicinity of the interchange over the next two weeks.

UPDATED OFF-RAMP CLOSURE: Both of the southbound Glenn Highway Off-ramps to north and south Muldoon Road will be CLOSED from 9:00pm Friday, July 15, until 5:30am Monday July 18. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes to the Boniface Parkway Off-ramp, looping back onto the northbound Glenn Highway, and exiting by way of the northbound Muldoon Road Off-ramp.

UPDATED ON-RAMP CLOSURE: The southbound Glenn Highway On-ramp (to downtown) from north Muldoon Road will also be CLOSED from 9:00pm Friday, July 15, until 5:30am Monday July 18. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes, and use Debarr Road or Boniface Parkway as an alternative route.

Traffic traveling north and south on Muldoon Road, and those using ramps on the south side of Muldoon Road overpass will be uneffected throughout the CLOSURES.

Glenn-Muldoon Interchange Road & Ramp Closures Apr. 15-19

GlennMuldoonNavBeginning 9:00pm Friday, April 15, the Muldoon Road and Boundary Avenue intersection, the northbound Glenn Highway On-ramp at Muldoon Road, and the northbound Glenn Highway Off-ramp to Muldoon Road will be CLOSED until 5:30am Tuesday, April 19. Please plan accordingly and follow construction signs for DETOUR routes to Boniface Parkway and Debarr Road.

At all other times, be alert to flagging operations, shoulder work and trucks entering and exiting the roadway within the project area. Click on the graphic to see the entire flyer.

Glenn-Muldoon Interchange Open House Wednesday, March 15

Glenn Highway Muldoon Road Interchange Public Open House 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016; informal presentation at 7 p.m., in the Yellow Cafeteria at Bartlett High School, 1101 North Muldoon Road. Project teams will be available to review the scope of work and provide information about the project.

Neeser Construction Inc. has been selected to construct the Glenn Muldoon DDI. Work will begin in the Spring of 2016, continue over three seasons, and be completed by November 2018.
