Recycle Christmas trees at Carrs/Safeway Stores December 26-January 15

‘Twas the week after Christmas
And all through the night,
Tree needles were dropping
The tree looked a sight!

So off with the baubles
And off with the lights,
To CARRS we will go
To recycle it right!

ALPAR and Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services invite you to recycle your live Christmas tree at Anchorage, Eagle River, or Palmer CARRS/Safeway stores – just look for the designated drop off area.

Trees must be free of all decorations and lights, and no wreaths, please!

Trees are turned into wood chips for trails, gardens and parks.

The program ends January 15th, 2020.

For a small donation, you can even get your tree picked up.

LAST 2019 MARKET open 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Chanshtnu Muldoon Park, 1301 Muldoon Road (DeBarr). EVENT PARKING: Muldoon Mall lot, just north of the park. A short, paved walkway leads directly to the market.

Muldoon Farmers Market features Alaska-grown or caught seafood & fish, fresh farm produce, locally baked or cooked food, high quality crafts from local artisans and live music. Kid friendly market with accessible playground – fun for all!

Volunteers wanted to help set up, clean up, etc.
